"My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style."
Meet Our Newly Elected VP, Payne Davis!
As the Vice President of Phenomenal Women, I am looking forward to helping us reach our highest potential as an organization. That means guiding/assisting our teams in achieving their organizational goals, from fundraising, program development, community outreach, marketing, and overall ensuring every one of them is being challenged in the way they need to achieve personal growth.
My personal focus is to gain reoccurring and long-lasting grants, donors, and community collaboration. With this goal, we will pour into our current programs, initiate additional programming, and host more community-centered events.
Being true to our mission to encourage, empower, and uplift all women to reach their fullest potential is what I love most about our organization. I am an actual test to this mission. Due to being surrounded by all the Phenomenal Women and girls of our organization, I attained my bachelor’s degree in Human Services while maintaining a couple of jobs and an internship, it was no easy feat. However, the encouragement, strength, and wisdom from every single one of my Phenomenal Women sisters help me to keep going to reach my fullest potential. I only hope to give a little bit of what they have given me back to them as we transition into this new year!
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
LERESSIE ASHLEY, PHENOMENAL WOMEN SUPPORTER
My niece participated in the 2020 Phenomenal Women cohort and it made an impact on her year. She was excited to participate and she was engaged in a way I’ve never seen her before. It’s great to know that there are programs like this for young girls to learn fundamentals in early in life, and how to navigate. We need more programs like this. Thank you Phenomenal Women for making a difference!
JORDYN GALLIEN, YOUTH PROGRAM STUDENT
Phenomenal Women has inspired me to do great things and to keep trying even when things get hard. I have learned to try new things even if that means taking risk. Being apart of phenomenal women has taught me to keep going and that I can do great things as long as I don’t give up.
RHIAN JOHNSON, YOUTH PROGRAM STUDENT
One important thing I learned from the Phenomenal Women Youth Program is learning how to be heard in a room full of big people. I think girls should join the program because they learn a lot of important life skills that can help them in the future.
