Male Network Open House

Calling all male mentors and young men in Denver and surrounding areas! The PhenoMENal Network for Men is looking for male mentors ready to say yes to mentoring young men between the ages of 8-14, make a difference in the community, and empower the next generation of leaders.

Interested? Learn more about this awesome youth mentoring opportunity and hear from our team Saturday, July 30th from 1:00 pm - 2:30 p.m. at Eloise May Library in Denver. This event offers complimentary appetizers and beverages.

Why does the PhenoMENal Network for Young Men need successful mentors? The average graduation rate for minority Colorado students is 75.3%. We plan to help increase that number by serving as academically successful role models who have greater knowledge of their heritage and culture. This has been proven to increase high school graduation rates and the number of students obtaining higher education.

Male Mentor Requirements:

• Volunteer mentors spend about 4 hours a month for at least one year with their mentees.
• Male mentors shall provide guidance, oversight, and encouragement.
• Provide feedback regarding their mentorship experience and keep mentees updated on events and activities.
• Meet in person or communicate regularly with mentees to be an ear and help them work toward identified goals.
• Work with other male mentors to create a workshop plan or outing with youth mentees on a monthly or bi-monthly basis.

Whether you’re into hiking, biking, cooking, painting, fishing, mechanics, entrepreneurship, or watersports, chances are there’s a young man out there who needs you. The program creates mentor/mentee matches based on criteria such as common interests and compatible personalities. Mentors look forward to the time they spend with their mentees.
