Committed to the Cause

Joshalynn Green-Turner, a wife, mother, non-profit leader, and entrepreneur, is a graduate of the illustrious Miles College, an HBCU located in Birmingham, Alabama. Joshalynn originally went to Miles College with ambitions of playing basketball. However, after several devasting knee injuries, her passion for the game came to a grinding halt.

While attending her beloved institution, Joshalynn grew a deep passion for service. During her matriculation at Miles, she founded Phenomenal Women, Inc., a non-profit organization now based in Denver that aims to enrich the youth, serve the community, and empower men and women through strategic initiatives.

In addition to Joshalynn’s non-profit endeavors, she is a certified career coach and owner of Career Elevation Services, LLC. Mrs. Turner specializes in resume writing, interview prep, professional development, and more. In all that Joshalynn does, she is committed to service and walking in her purpose to empower women to reach their fullest potential.

Joshalynn is also a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and she received the 2023 Wellington Webb Leadership and Legacy award, was recognized as ColoradoBiz’s top 5 young professionals in 2021, published by Voyage Magazine in 2021, and honored by Denver Urban Spectrum as an African-American Who Make a Difference in 2020, former Miss Black Colorado, 2015, and personally received acknowledgment from Michelle Obama for her Change Champion efforts in 2016.

Joshalynn believes “there are no limits on what you can achieve with your life, and whom you can impact. The only limits are the ones we accept in our mind and the limitations we put forth before we even try.”
